Are you confused about years required for achieving black belt?  Read out the whole blog .  Worldwide some people are getting black belt within 2-3 years and some are getting it within 7-10 years. Then what is correct duration for achieving black belt? Whatever  karate style you are practicing it doesn't matter ... If u are performing well from beginning then black belt can be achieved in 2-3 years . And if you are not performing well then lifetime is also not enough . People have just made business of selling black belt. They are promoting student to next kyu despite not performing well in Grade examination. Being a Black belt is a pride   and by providing it to non deserving one, one decreases its pride. One should take steps to stop this business.  They should promote to deserving only .
