KARATE NERD EXPERIENCE DAY 1

It was 24th march 2019, I woke up very very excited, next full week was going to be fun, we(me and my brother Rawal Dhruv) were about to train with world champions , the best coach and we had decided to shoot karate nerds series and no tension of studies too……what else one need other then this, a perfect life.

At 6:30 AM in morning we lefted for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
We checked in and  shooted few scenes at airport for knx series, we were waiting to board then suddenly at time of flight we came to knew that from gate 1 we have to go instead of gate no 6. We rushed downstairs we were the last one to board in. We didn’t even listened announcement and were just saved from missing the flight.

Fear arises when we believe in any stuff. Same way last time when I was travelling with my bro he told me some nonsense stuff like due to high speed you will get dizziness, vomit and all. I even believed that soo I got all
But This time I didn’t feared take off, I told my mind nothing is going to happen. Just chill. And journey was awesome
I even had downloaded karate nerd in Okinawa season 2, I watched that all the way in flight.

At 11:30 AM, we landed at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru. After taking luggage we had amazing filter coffee of hatti kaapi

The Silicon Valley of India is a nickname of the of Bangalore. We  witnessed  many beautiful skyscrapers on my way to hotel.

Temperature there was quite cool compared to Ahmedabad.

After having lunch, we went to meet someone’s family, finding local address in Bengaluru it sucks, from 1st day traffic was unbearable.

On that day we have decided to go cubbon park but all thanks to traffic we had all plans delayed.  The cab driver we had even was one of the reason for delay , he intentionally took from small streets, took long way and at end demanded extra money.

At almost 5 PM we checked in hotel, mind was frustrated ….why? because just finding nearby address was even very difficult, when we asked local people or auto wala’s address they will behave like they don’t know.

After rest we left for dojo, we thought  that within 15 mins we would be there but what it took almost 50 mins .

After long tiring day we were at our destination. It was “ Dr MG Prasad” sensei’s dojo. He  is founder of “zen sports and fitness”, his many students are world champion including his son. And his achievements they are that much that this blog would be less to describe. “Zen sports and fitness” skills are in exercise programming and rehabilitation, fitness assessments, Sports Conditioning and massage, Advance strength training for Athletes, one-on-one training and group exercise sessions, health promotion work and occupational first aid.

By 7:30 PM,  we were there at dojo, it was Sunday soo no other students were there, and sensei was out we waited some time then started warm-up till sensei came back.
I had just heard about sir’s big achievements but didn’t had any experience of training under Prasad sensei.

On 1st day we had a night Training session .We had training just for a hour from 8:15- 9:30 pm because suddenly over training damages the muscles and tissues. It was 1st time that at late night we had practiced karate at a dojo.

It was 1st time that we were out alone, at an unknown city and we both were roaming alone along with kit bag, two handbag of gi and another bag for some valuable things which we can’t leave at hotel.

Before teaching new, Sir checked out how we do our basics movement and he taught basics techniques & why that movement should be like that.

One important myth I got cleared was regarding zenkutsu dachi. It is that some do long and some do short stance..? the difference is height of a person. For a good heighted person stance is always long.

This concept just differs bcoz in all wkf player’s  videos what we have watched is Japanese player’s stance looks short and European player’s stance is long, it is just due to height differences.

A new whole concept I got to learn was all our moment should not be stiffed. From outside our movement should look powerful, but our muscle should be relaxed from inside. It should not be too harsh nor it should be lazy. Lazy means all relaxed no power. It should be smooth.

We learned more new methods to improvise kicks
Then we got briefed about athletic and technical methods of evaluation. Both are newly introduced concept by world karate federation. 30% they see athletic performance and 70% score was based on technical performance. Technical performance includes Stances, Techniques, Transitional movements, Timing, Correct breathing, Focus (KIME). Athletic performance includes Strength, Speed, Balance.

Around 9:45 PM, we left the dojo, hopefully we had founded a vegetarian restaurant near dojo only.
I never had this much late dinner. I have a habit of having dinner at 7 pm. But sometimes we have to adjust. Being in south we just ordered local south indian dish.

It was almost 10:45 PM we came back to our hotel. Hopefully there was no traffic at that time.

The day was just very tiring, with new experiences.

Essential things for time Management for a SPORTS person

Time management becomes essential when your aims are high and you continously strives for success Things you should do for time management are: ▪︎List out priorities ▪︎lessen use of social media ▪︎waking up early ▪︎spending less time hangingout In India , if we are in sports, our time is not just limited to Training,  we have other stuffs like "studying" ,  or "Working" at a professional firm. All these , make it very difficult to be consist in sports and even it became tough to take out time for practice. That's why ,it is very essential to "list out priorities" and work accordingly. Everyday we all have lots of work, and mind start wandering what to do?..... You need to understand that all work can not be completed at a moment. Understand your " most important" work, "complete that", and then rush towards other work.. Individually everyone has different schedules,  different work,  No expert can guide you...

Karate and Mental health

Happy world karate day to all lovely karatekas,  we always try adding values, and today also i want to highlight some important point, read till end before making wrong judgment. Sudden demise of one of the Finest Bollywood Actor and a Great Human being made all  talk about groupism in Bollywood but is that just limited to Bollywood? .....No ! SPORTS, BUSINESS, and many other fields have similar kind of things. When i was beginner i was not knowing that in our karate such things exists,  but then at later stage i got to know that all these things are going on here too. It make difficult for one to survive in such groupism,  i m a content creator, i approach all kind of athletes based on their skills and qualifications,  and this groupism make some people against me, they think we just support particular groups.... but in reality there is nothing like that in our mind, we don't care about any Group,  if one is really good we don't mind learning from him/her....

HOW TO MAKE KARATE AS A CAREER?

Following steps you should keep in mind if As a young nerd if you want to make karate as career: ▪︎Running Normal karate Dojo with lots of students will not make you rich ▪︎Start doing something different ▪︎Don't stop playing ▪︎keep your Aim high ▪︎Make Yourself a brand ▪︎ Running Normal karate dojo This is the 1st mistake lots of Young Karate Nerd do, where they go wrong is thinking in a wrong way, opening a karate class and getting students seems soo easy for some , but the whole system is not well established , you will not become rich by just normally running karate dojo with lots of students And this is your biggest mistake if you start focusing on money , If your whole motto is just money then there are lots of option for business.
